Knowledge and God Since the old times, philosophers tried to prove or reject the God’s existence. The most famous scholars, involved in the research of this topic were Descartes, Locke, and Berkeley. Each of them has presented their arguments concerning God’s existence and attempted to make the mass audience agree with his ideas. In order to find the answer towards this eternal dilemma, the arguments of the philosophers should be considered. Descartes stated that God exists and that he could not be a deceiver. His system included four major claims: the first that if God existed, the material world did not. In that case, God turned out to be a deceiver. Nevertheless, he could not be a deceiver, and it led to the answer that God did exist. He has worked out his own system of proving this of perception of this truth.
